Consultant (New Media) (Corporate Communications)

A member of the corporate online and digital media team, the person’s key responsibility is to ensure effective planning and execution of digital media strategies, including monitoring and analysis of outreach, to achieve optimal communications outcome.
Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and curation of digital media content; and execution of corporate online marketing and communications strategies and activities to maximise returns on investment
  • Add, edit and monitor content on digital media platforms to help increase engagement, brand awareness and advocacy
  • Oversee tracking of online readership and propose ways to enhance outreach
  • Collaborate with editorial team on content development and increase traffic for online sites (including social media sites), ezines and apps
  • Work with writers (internal and external) to ensure copy is suitable for corporate digital platforms and social media channels
  • Undertake copy writing, proof reading and editing of content independently

Job requirements:
  • A passion for helping our working people lead better lives through work, live and play
  • Degree in Marketing Communications / Marketing / Digital Journalism, with minimum of 2 years relevant working experience, or Diploma in Marketing Communications / Marketing / Digital Journalism with 5-6 years relevant working experience. Working experience in digital marketing agency will be an added advantage
  • Must be fluent in lingua franca used in online sphere and have effective online research and writing skills
  • A passion for and strong understanding of social media and trends
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in mother tongue language would be advantageous
  • Creative and with an eye for details
  • Resourceful and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of digital media apps and photo editing software
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
