The Behavioural and Research Insights Team (BRIT) adopts a multi-disciplinary approach comprising Research-Design-Test (RDT) so that the Board can nudge CPF members to make better decisions to meet their retirement goals, and earn their trust and goodwill in the CPF system.

Job Responsibilities

The job holder is responsible for interpreting academic literature and random controlled experimentation to explain behaviour and think about nudges and using various frameworks.  The job holder will apply the RDT methodology in the business functions, train CPFB officers on RDT, and set up a network of RDT expertise.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with various business functions to help them understand problems from a behavioural science perspective
  • Conducting fundamental research using behavioural data and user research insights to help ideation and communication
  • Creating frameworks to help define customer problem / behaviour better
  • Designing experiments and interpreting results
  • Post-deliverables review including deciphering the results for analysis, assessing the effectiveness of the interventions, and counter-proposing alternatives / workaround solutions
  • Developing a good comprehension of the business functions, parameters and both the business’ and members’ behaviours to design and proof test the RDT methodology to drive the business outcomes, including influencing members for effective decision-making on their retirement planning.

Job Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification with relevant work experience in applying behavioural science concepts and experimentation design
  • Preferably with relevant knowledge/expertise in behavioural science concepts and experimentation design
  • Knowledge of statistics programs (SAS, Tableau, R and Python)
  • Resilient to work under pressure and resourceful
  • Passionate about creating experiences that fuse non-digital and digital through research, analytics, design and delivery
  • Experience with UX and design thinking is a bonus
  • Able to work both independently and effectively as a team
