The Singapore Apprenticeship Program is a one-year program designed to provide a realistic career experience working in the financial services and gain real work experience as part of our innovative and exciting teams across our lines of businesses. Learning & development opportunities will also be provided throughout the program duration – including a one-week induction training as well as senior management networking opportunities.
Over the course of the program, you will be provided the necessary training and also learn a great deal from your colleagues and teammates. You will also get opportunities to meet senior colleagues and continue building your own professional network. You will develop essential knowledge and skills, and is an outstanding first step towards building a dynamic, long term career with us.
What You Might Be Doing?
You will be part of one of our innovative and exciting teams across our lines of businesses.
Finance & Business Management offers challenging opportunities to work on local regulatory reporting, month end close process and project-related work on new products/or system implementation. You will get to understand a wide range of different derivative products, the implications of control issues and their potential impact on the legal entity financial statements and regulatory filings. You will have opportunities to interact with various lines of businesses, including financial controllers, product controllers and technology team. This will broaden your communication skills and build up your confidence which will give you a well-rounded experience.
Human Resources plays an integral role in designing, implementing, and managing people initiatives across the firm. The function works hand-in-hand with the bank's businesses on people strategy development, planning and project management. By aligning with business goals, we can ensure the bank receives the support it needs to manage the talent that's so critical to its success. You will be involved in providing HR data analysis, reporting, intelligence and insights that will help the team to drive the Singapore people agenda forward.
As a member of the Operations team, you will help drive our clients’ business forward, while getting a behind-the-scenes look at how our own businesses run. You will work to support the processing, recording and settlement of financial transactions and work on implementing new ideas to improve and enhance our client services. You’ll work with a variety of professionals to drive growth, make sure operations are effective and manage risk while maintaining the highest standards. You’ll gain insight into how our businesses come together to serve our clients around the world and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions while developing your professional expertise in a dynamic team environment.
Corporate Technology (CT) – Develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase. CT teams are aligned with corporate partners' evolving technology needs and the firm's ever expanding technology controls agenda. Focus is on building scalable corporate systems and driving innovation across the firm's corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles.
Technology – Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) - Builds and maintains the technology to safely service the world's most important corporations, governments and institutions. CIB provides strategic advice, raises capital, manages risk, and extends liquidity in markets spanning over 100 countries around the world. CIB technologists develop solutions for a bank entrusted with holding $18 trillion of assets and $393 billion in deposits.
As part of the Wholesale Payments team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across this exciting, innovative landscape to learn what it takes to “make money move.” You will get to acquire foundational knowledge in transaction banking, gain exposure on client solutioning and leverage on new and emerging technologies for product innovation and enhancement. You will also work under the guidance of mentors, network with senior leaders and accessing best in-class training.
We're looking for results-oriented individuals with enthusiasm for developing strategies that optimize business operations.
- Minimum Diploma qualification; open to diploma graduates with no more than 2 years of work experience
- Currently pursuing a diploma qualification with expected graduation of April/May 2022
· All academic disciplines and majors welcome – not necessarily from a business or finance background
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential
· Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in teams to deliver results
- Highly motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiency
- Available to start work in August 2022
