Tell us why you chose to pursue your respective courses at PSB Academy.

Aaron Heng: My interest in biomedical science was ignited when I went on a laboratory tour in Tuas back in secondary school. Since then, I have always aspired to contribute to the realm of medical advancement and planned for a career in the industry. After completing my diploma in biomedical science at Temasek Polytechnic, I knew I wanted to continue on this track. I was considering between PSB Academy and another popular private institution, but PSB Academy was simply the better option since it allowed me to study a Biomedical Science degree awarded by La Trobe University, one of the best universities in Australia for the field. Obtaining maximum credit exemptions from my poly diploma was another plus point for me.

Joshua Gan: I have always loved communicating with people, and marketing is one profession that provides ample opportunities to do so. As a marketer, interpersonal skills are vital when it concerns meeting clients, brainstorming with your team and giving presentations. Once I knew I had a strong interest in marketing, I made the unconventional decision to leave polytechnic to fast track my studies. I was first recommended PSB Academy by my friends. However, the deciding factor was the streamlined education and the opportunity to get a head start in my career. It also helps that the Business and Marketing degree I chose is awarded by Coventry University in the United Kingdom.

My classes at PSB Academy are usually only three to six hours long. This affords me the flexibility of time to work part-time which has been truly enriching. At work, I get to apply marketing concepts learnt in school. This allows me to grasp concepts like consumer behaviour more holistically.
